I was loving this documentary until the moderation thing. Someone who has a history of an OD clearly doesn´t know moderation at all. I mean, she even said it on EP 1: the whole thing started with a little bit of drinking (It's just a little red wine, I'll be fine). What will happen when she drinks/smokes a little bit too much and the little "hard drugs" bug creeps up her mind again? How is she going to stop herself from touching these so called "hard drugs" (drugs [alcohol included], are all the same to the adict) in an altered state of mind? I'm sorry, but I also share the feeling of a broken heart with this episode. I was so proud (and still am) with the first episodes and the POWER that the song "Dancing With The Devil" transmits. I didn´t see a "Oh, I´m drinking and smoking a little bit of weed (not sober) after my almost lethal OD. Abstinence really didn´t work for me, but don´t worry, as long as I don't do hard drugs I'll be fine. Look, my friends and family are totally OK with it." coming. I really hope this moderation thing works for her because I love her, but yeah, IMO there are a lot of potholes down that road.

Some people say moderation doesn’t work but in my experience, it does. I have a close family member that for a substantial period of their life they were addicted to crack cocaine. They got clean and they found that weed/cannabis/marijuana helps calm and put to rest that constant need and desire to go and snort some crack or even smoke it. They have been sober for about 12 to 13 years, there’s been slip ups but with lots of support and understanding they will always make it through. I’m so glad that Demi has such a big support system and the freedom to try and see what does and what doesn’t work for her. We’re all different and we shouldn’t ever generalize because every body copes with certain things and adapts to situations in the best way they can.
