The problem with this movie is the source material. Nobody liked the Joker. (Person not movie). We understood him, empathized with him maybe. But not liked him. Because he was a villain. It wasn’t empowering to watch him. It was like watching a train wreck. You’re not supposed to like Cruella. You aren’t supposed to be happy she has overcome obstacles. What is the tragedy in her life which led her to NEED to kill puppies to validate her self image? Cruella, like Joker, should be a cautionary tail. Not an uplifting one. And while you may be right about everything you said it the video, the source material simply makes that type of movie in appropriate. IMO.

tbh, i think if they followed the route of joker, the part about taking a good movie as a template not the r21 part, it could have worked. joker followed taxi driver etc they could have followed the devil wears prada. i feel like if they have cruellela and the baroness build a relation ship where its not just them liking each others work that last like 5 minutes, instead build up a slow respect for each other, the punches would be stronger. the baroness killed her mom, bigger impact. her deciding to take revenge on her mentor(assuming they showed this) bigger impact. the barones being her mother, bigger impact. they could have done this without diminishing the other parts of the story. i dont think this movie was a crush and burn but its just disappointing to think what i coild have been. it didnt need to be a r21 movie but she has to be meaner too. if you really need her to be nice so others can sympathise with her, focus on her split personality.

I disagree this time not because the better placed gender propaganda (which is not), but because they destroyed an iconic villain giving her stupid motives. Cruella was a woman who used animals in her designs, the "dalmatian" thing wasn't because she hated dogs, but because fashion, but now they retconed it making the original movie (and the live action remake) look pointless. This is yet another propaganda movie, but this time Disney put more effort in the plot, do the message was disguised.

I'll be honest in saying that the Micheal Bay Transformers have always been a guilty pleasure for me. Sure they ain't that deep, BUT LOOK AT THE COOL EXPLOSIONS!!! Look at those robots tearing each other to shreds. I honestly think these films would've been better off if they stopped here. It wouldn't be a perfect trilogy by any means, but it would've been a complete story at the very least.

I rearly ever disslike videos, but this will have to be one of them. In my opinion, you are giving this movie WAY to much credit and treating Cruella way to generously. When I see this movie, I see Disney trying both to hit the "Upgrade" and "Go back" butten at the same time, trying to paint a PUPPY KILLER as a cool, badass rebel to cash in on the name of 101 dalmatians and have the (practicly mindwashed)media outlets cheer them on for being "SoO bRaVe". To be clear, I will not try to limit your free speach, but I wont limit my own, and I thing that you should have been harsher on the movie. Have a good day.

honestly at this point even when hollywood or if they managed to make a good gender/race empowerment film or character...nobody would care. most are probably like me we wouldnt care with the ideas of empowering these groups. but at this point they only do it for pandering and its just so tiring. so instead people who normally would be open to the idea. we actually end up hating these groups more. even im guilty these days of seeing any movie with a female or insert race character and i instantly roll my eyes and dont want to even give it a chance. we have gotten so used to them pandering and trying to force shit down our throats that instead of doing what they want and empowering these groups and gaining acceptance. it does the opposite it makes people hate them. which really really sucks. because then people are stuck in a weird limbo. im not racist or sexist. i think people should just be treated as people. but again im guilty of not even wanting to give race/gender characters a chance anymore because theres a 99.8% chance that character will be completely shallow and try to survive on identity alone as well as just to shovel more propaganda to the viewer. To me i couldnt care less if a main character was a black trans alien as long as it fit with the story and the character was fleshed out and had depth. but thats the other thing. they never do. like i said they just rely on the characters face identity to carry it and have no depth or detail to them. idk im probably just going in circles at this point. but hopefully im not the only one that feels like this and again it sucks.

All this conclusion just like shit, because: 1)Mom killed by Dalmatians 2)Dalmatians on film most aggressive dogs 3)Dalmatians became her dogs 4)Her friends making mostly everything for Estella(and they can do anything, pocket steal, hack cams, outfit disguise, playing on guitar like rockband, having atleast 5 cars, and it without school education, and internet, HOW?) 5)Police on this film most stupid one, they mostly doesn't exist, about 10 years(three kids living themselfs on abandoned storehouse, and no one interest in this place) 6)*Spoiler Alert* This f*cking buttler doesn't say owner about his wife who just abandoned they first child, and approve child was dead, and seeing how his employer dying from depress. My conclusion only this, no matter how much meaning writers add in scenario, this all become shit, with this logic i brought up here.
