God bless her! For the past 10 years I have been in and out of the darkest places one can have mentally. I have lost so much weight and then gained it because I myself can't eat I have 4 or 5 teeth left and I'm so depressed I've been single a celibate for 6 years because I don't have ANY confidence in my self. I had something similar , I had orthodontics treatment started 4 year back . It ended after 2 and half years but then it relapsed and my jaw couldn't close properly it was more mental problem I think though but I was so depressed, couldn't go out, stooped talking to anyone , no study nothing I just wanted to die course you cannot eat cannot smile cannot meet to people , now I am having anathor treatment it's been 4 year I ve doing this treatment but hope it gets better soon.

I know her pain , this is so sad she had to go through this , I have lost so much weight, I'm down to 120 pounds and I used to weigh 225 and built solid , now my mouth is infected and I have heart condition, I have lost everyone in my family, my brother took his life, my sister died from an overdose, and my parents are both gone. I dream of getting a new set of teeth, especially with my heart condition.

My poor niece is in the same situation. She's 29 and had eight teeth punched out by an ex. It caused her to lose most of her other teeth from infection bc she had no insurance and no money for a dentist. She weighs nothing and her mouth is sunken in. Does anyone know of a program or place that could help her? She's in Mississippi.

Im a 37 yr old man and never did crack or meth and I know her pain about not being able to smile. At church or out in public I look down when I talk to people. I feel i embarrass my kids by the way I look. The only teeth I have to eat with are the bottom front ones. This Dentist is truly an Angel! After years of neglect and then domestic violence, I myself have not yet met a dentist who wants to truly help since I don't have heavy pockets. It's a shame I can't afford to hide away in my home. Regardless of my unfortunate luck, I cry tears of happiness for this woman and those who are given a second chance! It warms my heart to know there is hope!
